As an experienced product photographer working in Sherman Oaks, I have worked with numerous small businesses to ensure that they have beautiful photographs of their wares. One of my talents is utilizing the right lighting setup for each specific situation. This bottle of syrup is a great example. When glassware contains liquid, I know that large, soft light source is usually the best choice for a perfect image. The main challenge associated with shooting this image was ensuring that the highlights on the left and right were even. Use of v-flats and reflectors ensures that the highlights are even in every part of the glass. Glassware and liquid can both contain imperfections, which often have to be removed in Photoshop. I took special care with this image to photograph the front and top labels in a way that would be legible.
